The holidays are fast approaching, which means it's time to start thinking about holiday decorating. If you could use some inspiration, check out Bachman's Holiday Ideas House, which will open Thursday. The historic Bachman's family home in Minneapolis will be all dressed up for the festive season.
Each room has a different decorating theme, including a porch with a winter theme of birch and other natural elements; a formal traditional dining room with vintage silver and poinsettia dinnerware; a New Year's Eve party theme in the living room; a Christmas cookie-making vignette in the kitchen, and a hockey-themed boy's bedroom.
Bachman's Holiday Ideas House will be open through Dec. 5 (closed Mondays). Tickets are $5, with 20 percent of proceeds benefiting Children's Home Society and Family Services. All guests will receive a coupon for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more at Bachman's. Tickets can be purchased by calling 612-861-7311, visiting www.bachmans.com or at at the Bachman's on Lyndale store. The Bachman's Idea House is at 5936 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls.
